Comparing two folders

You might heard of win-merge, a free tool for comparing folders with lots of features.

This is the same thing which allows you to compare two folders and files (no merging)

The result will be something like this

You can see above, blue lines indicate the file changed and red lines indicate missing file

Also when you click on the lines the corresponding file will be opened in compare tool as shown.

Working Through

You don’t need to be in any project for this.

  • In ADK, click on Analyze > Compare Folders.
  • Then browse for the first folder and then for second folder.
  • Once done the result will be shown as above.

Note: Your first selected folder will be set as parent folder i.e all files will be checked from first folder only if it is changed or missing in second folder. This means it won’t detect any added files.
